Basically what it means is if you can draw it in the flat you can
then process this in Dolphin with or without offsets, cleaning cuts
etc automatically.
When I do the motor cycle cams they supply me with a drawing that is
just a straight/curved/arced line that is equal to the circumference
of the shaft, or in my case three of them side by side.
Dolphin then works this out and converts the linear part into X and
degree moves for the rotary axis.
If you want to see what the layout looks like I can email or post
some screen shots.
From a drawing to code on one of these motorcycle cams takes about 3
or 4 minutes.
