There are alternatives to the STG card...
Vigilant do a couple - The ISA version is comparable in price to STG, the PCI
version quite a bit more expensive.
Sensoray have a six axis PCI card that undercuts the price of STG by a fair
bit. But the DACs use an I2C bus wich might cause problems if you don't have
a driver for it.
Vital Systems are currently developing a PCI card - As yet, I do not have any
pricing or technical details.
