For the record ...

The 'Live' variant of EMC runs under 'Morphix' .. which is derived from
Debian Linux, and the Knoppix 'Live Linux Filesystem' .. so most certainly a
Linux distribution. Morphix is in effect a 'bootable debian linux on CD'
... with the additon of the realtime patches to the kernel, and the EMC
packages it becomes EMC :: BDI-Live

So .. it is Linux. Whether you consider Linux to be UNIX is an open question.
