Yeah! One of those projects I'd really like to do. I think I know how
to make a ballbar tester, and it would be really helpful to have one around
for machine testing. But, you really don't need a ballbar to test the
software. EMC has great built-in diagnostics that really tell you
everything
you need to know about a machine which has a real encoder on the motor,
except for machine alignment and backlash issues.
