I used TkEMC almost exclusively since I loaded the 20DEC1999 version,
and I believe
I used TkEMC before that, too. It worked fine! When I loaded the
15Mar2000 version,
it almost immediately hung up the GUI after jogging around for 15
seconds. I killed
EMC and restarted it, and it worked OK for several hours, and then
locked up such
that I couldn't even kill XFree86 with ctrl/alt/backspace. I had to hit
the reset button
(although I now know there are a couple of other ways in). I'm back to
20DEC1999,
and am having no problem with it.

I noticed later that somebody said the period command should not be in
the .ini file when using
steppermod. Would this also cause trouble with a servo system? This is
the only thing
that I can think of being different.
