There are some nice drawings in this thread.
I do not consider this thermally stable however.
As the shaft warms up preload would quickly be lost
in the DB configuration unless the housing or shaft
were very flexible axially. The required flexibilty
would result in a spindle that has pretty poor
axial stiffness.

A three bearing system would work better.
I understand that there were some limitations
imposed on this design by being constrained to
a mill drill head.
