My two cents too! I have a rather large mill/router gantry manchine.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CAD_CAM_EMC/ Photos. Mostly I cut foam
and some MDF. I purchased a 1/2 collet Milwalkee router. After about 5
hrs of of continuos use the bearing ceased up. Got a replacement one
which lasted two hrs. Not wanting to try a third I opted for a Dewalt.
Well 100's of hrs later all is well.

Worth noting... I bought these at Sears , Not being a Sears product it
doesn't carry their warranty. Factory only. However ,.. A friend of
mine pointed out the print on the back of Sears's the receipt. What is
printed got me the replacement routers ,.. take a look!

I'm not knocking Milwalkee,.. just my experience with their product
Take a look at Dewalt's 1/2 collet routers.
