Hi Abby,
I would keep the start frequency low. A sudden jump in frequency will
probably result in the servo overshooting as it tries to track the
acceleration. Turn the acceleration up until the drives start faulting
then back off to about 75% of that value. You will get a fair amount of
following error when accelerating to max speed but when you are doing
slow, accurate work the following error will be very small.
