Hi Scott, Thats exactly how mine was. I threw out everything except the motor mounts. Went back with a PC based control running Mach2 software, Bob Campbells breakout board, Gecko 320 servo drives. I used the original power supply. below is a link to pics of it

On my website below I tried to post a Jpeg of the wiring diagram. Try to download and print or I can Email it to you

Hello all "Newbe" to the group here.
I have a 79' 2J head 9x42 BP that has xyz nema 42 steppers controlled by an
ole Bandit
controller.
I am going to upgrade her by replacing the Bandit with stepper motor drivers
(gecko or ? ) and a pc card for more modern pc control.
I am looking for any guidance I can get. I want to keep the steppers and go
from there.
Oh, .....I still need to haul her home (that will be a project and a half).
My last BP I took completely apart and hauled her home. Manual 1959
machine.2J head also 9x36
I would prefer to buy a package deal, i.e. drivers and control card
complete. I don't think I would be good at piecing parts together and
hoping nothing conflicts.
I would rather buy a package deal that will work (or at least is supposed
to).
Thanks in advance
