yes.

Yes, EMC on linux. Outputs through the parallel port.

I'm not really sure I'd say "run the bandit", exactly... All that
is left of the bandit is the power supply, motor drives, and the case
that was bolted to the bridgeport. EMC does all the hard work.
But I do run my mill from the PC.

To be honest, I couldn't tell you. Most of the lettering on the steppers
are worn off, and I haven't needed to replace or spec them for drives
since I'm using the bandit drives that came with the machine.
