Luke,
I could never get mine to work either...I'm lead to believe that my
ERS board is bad. I used a few terminal window programs with a serial
cable linked to the K6 pins on the ERS board. I could never get a
BOSS prompt or response from the machine...after several days of
fooling with it. All of the parameters for the COM port were set up
properly...the cable was good and the connections solid. DIP switches
on the ERS board were set right as well.
It's just easiest right now for me to redo all of the electronics and
convert to servos. The expense and time of getting the input issues
worked out just isn't worth it considering the limited memory of the
BOSS. Also, one of the motor transistors fried again just jogging the
machine around...I don't need that sort of headache or down time.
