To get the right voltage from a transformer, if it is a open frame wind 1
(one) turn around the core and measure the voltage on this turn.

Next either add or remove turns to get the right voltage

Example if you have 0.5 volts across one turn then your turns per volt= 0.5
if you have a 20 volt transformer with 0.5 turns per volt then add 3 (three)
turns to bring the voltage up to 21.5 volts X 1.414 = 30.4 volts DC

This will work with any transformer that you can feed a wire around the core

Monte,

IMService stocks a toroid transformer, 120/20, and also a power
supply kit with additional components to create a linear supply.
These are all new current production components that we use in our
own systems and kits.
