BDI-4.20 Software Installation (still having problems)

on 2005-08-05 06:57:23 UTC
Documation I found on EMC and BDI have not made mention of problems with SCSI
drives. The BDI-4.20 installation actually lists some SCSI drivers.

I picked up an IDE hard drive and installed it yesterday. It seems to be
hooked up correctly and BIOS is detecting it. I disconnected the old SCSI
drive. The result is still the same--BDI locks up after X server countdown. I
tried 'linux noprobe' command and manually selected the driver, but still same
result. I have tried other drivers that are listed, but with same results.
Any other suggestions?

BTW--I noticed that some of the drivers listed gave a notification that they
loaded and some gave no notification. Some did not even seem to be selectable,
because they did not carry back over to the first dialog box. Not sure if
there was code written for all the drivers listed, but it seemed odd that some
selections do not even say they are loading.

Looking for suggestions please...

Regards,
Mark H.
