We could discuss the relative merits of one old cnc compared to
another..I might myself prefer to have a cnc knee mill, instead of the
couple bed mills..But each of these 3 old cnc's that I bought come to
me from local shops. Each time the shop owner called me and offered them
to me and named the price..So,,, I have been offered deals 3 times and
all 3 times I have jumped on the deal..What am I saying?---------Well,I
think that it is a matter of fortunate circumstances what specific
machines find their way into our respective shops..I always think it
comical when somebody boasts about their own machine being super at
this or that--- comical because had their machine been local to me and
I got a chance to buy it myself then I'd have owned it instead of
them..Instead of bragging , a person should be counting their
blessings..These good deals like I got and even better deals are out
there.....
Ohhh wanted to mention...Jon Elson, I emailed you before I bought this
Hurco that I am upgrading now..That was a couple years ago..I printed
out your reply and still have it in the shop..I was hesitant to buy the
mill knowing I would have to change the controller.I found inspiration
in your assurances that it could be accomplished without considerable
expense or a degree in electrical engineering. Is good to get a
professional opinion before making a relatively expensive decision.I
sure appreciated that help.
