I had a similar problem with my hurco kmb1 mill that I retrofitted. I
was trying to cut a hole and i ended up with a oval skewed in a
45degree angle from the x axis. After about 2 weeks of trying
everything I could think of, it ended up to be as simple as my head was
slightly loose. The head seemed tight but if I gave it a really good
push it would move just a little bit. So I just tightened up the bolts
and then she cut perfectly.

Hopefully it is as simple as that :)
