Especially when you throw in the fact that you need a separate mouse for
each axis. Unless you can come up with a way of giving the mouse sensor
a machine-travel-sized flat area to look at. (Something like the
reverse of the old mouse ball mechanisms - with the wheels turning a
ball which the sensor "sees" - like a trackball - could work)
