So i'm driving home from work the way I always do and I see this old
machine equipment in this yard. It's been there for a while but never
seen it because there was a trailer in the way. Theres a huge acroloc
maching center and a tree journeyman 300 cnc. My question is do any of
you know much about these mills. What kind of canidate is it to be
retrofitted to a PC based cnc. It has been outside partially covered.
It has DC servo spindle motor, it said 1300 rpm on the tag. Does this
unit have servos or steppers? How much do you have to retain of the
original electronics? I assume there is some sort of power supply for
the drives. What kind of money for the hardware and software to make
it work. The table and the ways look good but there is a ;ot of
surface rust. The spindle motor has been exposed to the weather. Any
thoughts? Thanks , Ian
