Ian,
I converted a Tree 300 using Gecko 320's, a homemade power supply and
Mach2. The axis servos are 90vdc but run fine at ~60 volts. The spindle
motor (4HP, 180vdc with encoder) could be a problem. I used the
original servo amp. If the amp or motor is out you may have a challenge.

Also.. most Trees cam with kwik switch 300 tooling. Its getting hard to
find and can be expensive. I got my machine fully tooled.

The machine is rigid (7,000 pounds) and very accurate.
