Thanks for the reply Dan. I might have miss read the plate but I
thought it said 1300rpm. I saw on your website that you said you had
yours running at 6000rpm and thought it would be hard to get that
out of a 1300 rpm motor. I went back out today and talked to the guy
that had it and said I could have it if come get it. I'm in! So at
some point I will go get it. Don't know how I'm going to lift it on
to the trailer. I've moved a couple of bridgeports, but the head and
ram come off of them.I assumed I would gut the electronics cabinets.
How tuff is the motor. Will I have to buy a drive just to test it ?
What about the servos how can I test them? What is the deal with
power supplies, I notice you guys mention that you run at a lower
voltage? The front 10" of the knee way is rusty but it clean up, so
will the table. What are the travels (x,y,z) on this machine. I
looked down through the top and saw the belt for the z and it still
moved freely. Dan , do you have a manual for your machine, I would
gladly pay you to copy it. I'm sure I will be needing your
assistance with this project and will need some hardware. I use
Hurcos at work and really want a cnc at home. A question about your
conversion or pc conversions in general is how do you manually
control your x,y,z for zeroing. Do you have to use a keyboard or do
you have a remote control box of some kind? Thanks for your time Dan.
