unfortunately, that's how they make their money...
there are a few sites out there that "aggregate" links, throw them on
their site and act as a "portal" (term i haven't used in years) so that
traffic is directed to them. and they make the dough on adsense or
whatever.
you're still top dog today as i typed in the url in a major search engine
(the one with a ridiculous stock price), but the other site is #2.
they have an app that does it for them.. ever notice the sits that have a
url that looks like:
(say i'm searching for "sony wega plasma tv")
http://www.somedomain1234.com/sony_wega_plasma_tv (the link doesn't work.
don't click here)
same deal.
or the sites that have expired and now have some "useful" search/help page
with links to other sites?
i'd be surprised if you get traction with the isp, but please do let us
know how it goes...
the glass is half full person would say that because you have back-linking
and such that you're site will end up getting higher placement in the end
as long as content is good and fresh. it's a good thing.
