Funny, we were just discussing docs again the other day...

Yes, that's another reason for our approach. We don't want you in
there "fixing" things...
So our manual can focus on operation and unit-level troubleshooting.
(I know I have groups like this--and the ones I've set up for our
customers--to deal with "boundary" cases<G>)

Perhaps others here "should" be offering Heathkit type manuals.
We're looking at it more like a GM or TOYOTA "finished" product...
Buy it, it works. If it stops working, try the things suggested in
the manual. If that doesn't work, have it fixed by experts or get a
replacement. Under warranty where applicable.

I firmly believe there's still "enough" DIY in DIY-CNC even if your
electronics come ready to just plug together!

P.S. It's not just old heathkit manuals... Lately I've been re-
reading through a stack of old POPmechanics from mid to late 60's.
Quite a difference in what was expected to be possible for
the "popular mechanic" of that time. Things change...
