Re: contact probes

Hello,

Don't pass up Graham Stabler's version of the expired renishaw patent
type. He's done a nice job explaining it on his indoorflyer website;
and he recently offered to make the design and code to produce it
public domain.

I'd suggest using the mill--partly in "lathe" mode--to make the slots
for the three arms of the probe hub using a 2-part clamped together
top and bottom. Use a ball end mill that matches or is slightly
undersize of the shaft diameter. (Graham commented that this portion
of the design was least satisfactory for him.) could use a straight
slot cutter instead and fill with epoxy.
