I don't censor anything in advance, but I do react if the post is outside a
rather unspecified area of bad taste, such as flaming an individual.
Unfortunately there are many ways that a post can be lost, and I have lost a
couple myself in the past. I would say this, that controversy should be
confined to the subjects of the list, and should be in such a form as to help
the list, rather than in a form to start a flame war.
It is hard to tell you what is not a good post, but it is easily recognized
when it is posted. If you are talking about a product, list the specific
problems, rather than use a broad paint brush to attack it, or the author of
the product. If one wants to disagree with a person, say what idea you
disagree with, and why, but don't attack the person. The one absolute rule
is no flames, or flame wars. Take them off the list and keep them off list,
this means both parties. If you feel it necessary send me copies, and then I
will comment, also off list.
