They do. It's the store-name brands (actually Pepsi is most copied
because it's sweeter and sweeter drinks sell better). This all came up
in the news a while back when Pepsi had an issue with someone selling
a secret formula. Recipes can't be copyrighted or patented (except in
certain cases) and anyone can reverse engineer them.
Surprised the heck out of me, so I asked a chemist. He told me that
it's not unheard of for professors to assign copy-the-recipie
projects.
If you make a Coke clone, you not only can't say it's Coke, but can't
even refer to "Coke" by saying it's a "Coke clone". And it turns out
that that sharp taste of Coke doesn't play well to consumers unless
it's called Coke. I guess they'd rather just eat sugar.
