I actually have both. One has a 1000 slot disk and the other has a 400 slot
disk. I don't know which is which as their online catalog is hosed if you
try to use the category lookup and go to motors or do a search. I have
e-mailed them for a week about the online catalog and even called them
today. I was put on hold for 15 minutes and finally hung up. I can't find my
printed catalog either to give you the part number. If you look in the
picture you will see one has an encoder housing that is the same diameter as
the motor, that is the 400 slot disk unit. The one with the big encoder
housing is the 1000 slot disk unit.
Which one to get depends upon your application. For a DRO you want the 1000
slot, for the Geckodrives servos it seems like the 400 slot works better
unless your computer can put out a HUGE amount of pulses.
