Hi John,

If they run smoothly in both directions then you are on to a winner. I
know these motors are cheaply made but they work surprisingly well. My
lathe has proper brushed servos on it and I can't say I have noticed any
real difference in performance.

As you are using a fairly low resolution encoder you don't need a step
multiplier. With a 200 line encoder you will have a top speed of 1875
RPM at 25kHz. If you need more speed, Mach will go up to 45kHz.
