If you can get a belt in narrow form that will do, you can double up belts
side by side. Obviously if the belts long the two abraid each other as they
bounce together.
One automotive manufacture was experimenting with twin timing belts, on
break you get a hell of a lot of noise, by the cam still turns.
We have also used twin belts on big superchargers, again because we couldn't
get anything else at short notice, but I think they stayed on the car for
several months before we put a single belt on.
