Hi Bill,

What do you want to use the motor for? If it is for a spindle then you
need a DC motor controller. I didn't notice any on the Surpus center
site. DC motor controllers can vary from a simple rectified drill speed
controller to a sophisticated torque compensated drive. It depends on
how accurately you need to maintain the speed.

The specs show CW rotation, meaning that if you apply +ve to the red
wire the motor will spin CW. If you reverse the connection it will spin
CCW. Usually the fan is built into the pulley. It doesn't look like
Surplus center supply the pulley so if you want full power you will have
to rig up something yourself.
