If it is a labjack, I was looking for alternative options, clever ones.

Lowering the head being simple depends on the machine it is attached
to, this one is not a pick and place gantry, its about lowering
inertia to the minimum so the machine doesn't have to carry any
lowering stuff around with it.

I guess you can assume by me asking the question that I have my reasons.
