Small bore silicone rubber hose can be very
flexible and light, but i$ expen$ive. The
thinner the wall the more flexible and the less pressure it will handle.

Tygon, vinyl, etc. are tougher and less flexible,
but handle higher pressures better and is ¢heaper.

Nylon is really stiff... You know the drill.

A simple question: How fast, how often and how
much weight need to be handled? If it is a light
load, a tiny electric motor with gear reduction
and a cam system might be best. Two or four
small wires are pretty simple to add to the head
cabling. Limit switches would make it 4 wires,
mechanical stops and current sensors would work.
