Hi, well if you slide a thin piece of steel shim stock into the space
between the armature and the magnet, you can slide the armature out fairly
easy, also the shim stock will help keep the magnet. i worked for 12 years
rebuilding starter, alternator, dc motors and that is what we did.
everything performed on the dyno as it should have. cul brian f.
