Actually it is probably only half as good, but
buy three and keep one as a spare and it does have advantages.

In olden times when the PC and AT were king, you
could buy a clone for 20% of the price of an IBM,
and the IBM was twice as fast and twice as
reliable. Many places bought 4 clones, ran two
and saved some money until they had a failure,
then they swapped in the spare(s) and had the
defective ones fixed. When the IBM failed, you
were out of business until the repairs were
done. The tradeoffs were not trivial, but the
ability to stay in business was a big factor.
