I think you have to join to read the past messages. There is
also a lot of info at
http://www.linuxcnc.org/
we have a wiki set up with lots of helpful documents, tutorials,
etc.

In the UK, Paul Corner has a splinter group with his own version
of EMC. He is the creator of the "Brain Dead Install", the
first way to put Linux, the real-time patched kernel and EMC all
on one CD. He objects to some of the decisions we have made to
move EMC forward, thus the splinter.
