As you know, I'm a Mach man, but Jon's post about PID and acceleration
is interesting. I downloaded EMC2 the other day, program itself looks
OK, but for some reason Ubuntu doesn't fill the screen :(

Took me a bit to get it to simulate anything, two buttons to press to
initialise it. Configuring it is a PITA editing ini, hal, var, tbl, nml
etc files, needs a GUI as well for all that. Dunno about bugs.

Be interesting to see if I could get it run my lathe with only one index
pulse, but I can't find anything about that.

Seems it's not as easy to use or set up as some would have us believe!
