I am planning to use hall sensor like :

more than that I have found that refrigerators (in the door rubber sealer) have such kind of magnetic tape/strip with appropriate dimensions. The question is how could I magnetize this tape as is needed ? 1mm pole pitch.
more than that I have seen that are plenty of magnetic sheets used in publicity industry - those also can be used to this application.
