I have a Hypertherm 1250 and am well satisfied. I've built a table and when I get the time I intend to adapt the torch to the table. Decide on the thickness of the material you intend to cut and then pick your plasma cutter. The 1250 is the largest machine that Hypertherm makes that used 220 V. They are the leader in plasma cutters, that's all they make. I don't work for them but I like their machine. I'd suggest buying as powerful a cutter as you can afford. It will allow you to make faster cuts. Plug the 1250 into 240 volts and add compressed air, cheaper and more precise (smaller kerf) than oxy-acetylene.
