How are you supporting the slats ? My first plasma table was similar to
this and the slats could wobble a bit, being only supported at each end
(They were made of 75 x 3mm flat bar). If the metal being cut was
bumped, or the torch touched it, all accuracy was lost. It would help to
put another support through the middle at 90 degrees if this happens.
I used a Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 101 and it worked well - cheaper
than Hypertherm. Use a Pilot Arc Plasma Cutter - which ever brand you
choose. ( Less electrical noise )
