For the controller those wires would be fine.

Someone previously mentioned flexibility depends on the number of strands in
the wire, and that's correct. I've got some wire with 512 strands, and it's
very flexible. The vacuum cleaner lead mentioned bends quite well too, I
haven't cut one apart to see what it's made up of.
