I have brush DC servo motors on my Bridgeport mill conversion. They
have never been rebuilt,
and are on the original brushes. I don't have an exact date, but they
are from the 1960's. they were
in industrial use at the McDonnell aircraft factory before I got them.
I am pretty sure they will outlive
me, although they are in a home shop use now. I suspect few home shop
users will wear out
well-made brush servo motors.
