It appears the wizard will let you cut a circle of around .52 diameter
without complaining so perhaps as someone else mentioned it has something to
do with the lead-in move it chooses to implement (wizards are not real
smart).
Not that it follows any of the rules above but, a circle by definition is a
groove in the material with something left in the middle, else you should be
using the cut POCKET wizard which clears out all the material inside the
circular area.
By definition, If you are cutting a CIRCLE then the cutter must move over
from the center at least it's radius (plus a thou or so) in order to leave
something in the center and should complain if you don't. The 0.52 diameter
circle with a 0.312 cutter is really a pocket so it's not complaining on
that count so it must be the lead-in.
Perhaps you mean to use the POCKET wizard which clears out all the material
inside a circular area?? I think it works ok.
The Newfangled Solutions (NFS) wizards (an extra purchase) will let you cut
a CIRCLE which will end up being a POCKET. It does not complain about
cutting a circle 0.313dia with a 0.312 cutter.
