Bob Cad is rough around the egdes. I would like to try Dolphin. I have spoken with them, just have not made the jump.
Bob Cad V24 is easier than V23, in the milling mode, but lathe mode is near the same as V23. I use it every day and it works just fine. I think what you get used to simply remains easy.
I'm only tempted to try another software because I read how others say "this" is best or "that" is best.
Over the years I've learned a number of Cad programs, Generic, Turbo, AutoCad, Autocad lite, Draftsite, Bob Cad, and I may have forgotten some. Each one had features I liked, and features I didn't like, or even use.

I tried BobCAD and couldn't figure it out. I was able to learn Rhino so that is what I will stick with. Another interesting CAD program is Moi which is very intuative.

About a month or two ago I posted on here asking for any advice on Dolphin CAD/CAM. I didn't receive much feedback so just wanted to chime in quick. For the past few years I tinkered with Bobcad, and never made it very far. It claims the game, so unless I am a complete idiot, the software just failed to produce much for me. A month after buying Dolphin, I must admit I have gotten way further then what BCC allowed me to. They dont have the rastor to vector which was nice, but outside of that I find it very nice and easy.
