I once had a program that would assign a depth to a gray scale. I lost it
during a disk crash but it read the gray scale of the photo and you could
assign a depth interval to the change in the gray.

White was the to "0" level and black would be the ".256" depth for an
assignment of .001 per gray scale change. Came from Astrailia as I rememenr
but I've lost all information during the crash. I had searched the web of
it back when I got it.

Hi All

Has anyone got a, preferrably free, list of programs to get from an image to
a 3d solid. There seems to dozens of close fits on the net, but most of them
are half-baked. I'd like to know if anyone has found something good.

I'm wanting to take a picture, say an antelope, and go from that to a
cropped file, and then add text onto it to produce a medal or coin at the
end of it.
I'm happy to end at a .stl file.

Also, I have not found a simple program that allows an image to be cropped
in a round format, but being able to accurately set the diameter and origin.
