I know there is the debate about .stl's
Apparently modern CAM packages will pick out features and mill accordingly.
I think this is only really becomes relevant to 4 axis and above. If you
generate the .stl with a very fine triangulation, the tool marks will
surpass the resolution of the triangles. For hobby stuff, a .stl is easily
managed and passed between programs. .iges files are quite complex and
you'll often get disjoints between programs.
I hope to post pics of my coins when i get this going.
