Hi, CAD2Lathe software does work with any Autocad clone CAD program, such as the Free CAD program called DraftSight. The reason for polylines is it easy to change the shape and sequence of the way you want to cut the profile. It will create a G-code to run in Mach3, EMC2 and the free microtek CncSimulator for viewing the G-code. CAD2Lathe was not created for Rhino. There is alot of videos and info, just Google CAD2Lathe. It also has its own DXF writer to help in creating the DXF for CAD2Lathe, then importing into your CAD program without leaving CAD2Lathe to add the roughing cuts and edit, using CAD commands like trim, move, offset, etc.
