Hi Steve,
Alas, probably not in the near future. Work has me pretty busy and
unfortunately not in the machine shop.
I have all the parts cast and purchased for the back fence. It will just
require some time to put it all together but then really I should first
make a heavy duty table for the 30" 3:1 shear/brake/roller and corner
notcher instead of the packing crate I'm using now.
I've upgraded my AlibreCAM for the CNC router to hopefully be able to make
a nicer pattern for casting a front panel. I still need to add the second
set of ball screw nuts to remove backlash on the CNC router. The number
of unfinished or partially finished projects has reached #42.
Without writing software the other guys are probably right in that a cheap
surplus PC with MACH is the lowest cost option. In your case even a
laptop would work with a smooth stepper and a driver board.
This is all quite like home renovations. You think it will be a simple
single window replacement and before you know it the roof, siding and all
the windows have been changed.
