Re: Raspberry Pi for CADCAM CNC?

I also am curious to know if the R-Pi can run a three axix mini mill. It is
my understanding that the R-Pi can run Ubunti/linex and last night I started
reading on the Linex site about the linexCNC stuff. I am a bit too ignorant
about it all to be have a clear idea of how good or bad linexCNC might be.



I also understand that the R-Pi is weak on CPU power (like it doesn't have
one), just a GPU and so is very slow on calculating, etc. This makes me
wonder if one of the mini PCs like the MK802 series, which are sold as TV
dongles, might make a better candidate for conversion/build up to run CNC??



You guys who speak hardware and software will see the host of issues to deal
with in trying to use either unit to run CNC apps. Pardon my typos and
spelling errors.I just got a rebuilt left eye Tuesday and the world is still
pretty blurry..
