Measurements to compare machines
Now that we are back to concentrating 100% on A2Z CNC one of the things I want to do is come up with a set of tests that would allow comparing various mill machines. While cutting test are fine, they are not something that you can compare with test someone else did.
The more obvious test that come to mind are:
Backlash
Squareness/alignment
Z column deflection with a specified load
What other specification would be sensible to measure?
