Agreed a Ballbar test result would be very interesting. Unfortunately not everyone has one of these $4000 - $9000 devices. Heck they cost more than many peoples entire workshop.
Got one I can borrow?<g> Seriously, I wouldn't loan one out due to the ease of destroying some pretty seriously accurate equipment. Renishaw rates there published spec as 1 μm for radial variation and about half that for sensor accuracy.
Looking on the web that is 3.93700787402 × 10-5 Inches or .000039 for radial and half that for sensor. Would hate to drop one of these.
