Jon,

I think THIS is what we've needed expressed. That there are TWO vocal
groups here on the list.

One is looking for what you've written above.
The other is well satisfied with a simpler approach.

Since the "members" of each group(above) respond arbitrarily, based
on knowledge and interest, the lines get blurred. And people get
confused.
