5v is available on the internal connector(s) used for drives, of
course.

But if you don't want to "open the box", 5v is also available on a
"game" or "joystick" port connector (15 pin D-sub female) and at the
Keyboard connector.

I have used both for this kind of thing with no ill effect. Remember,
we are just connecting the "computer side" of things.
